Texas A&M at Qatar recognizes outstanding faculty, staff and student researchers
Published Mar 30, 2022Texas A&M at Qatar recognized faculty, staff and student researchers during its annual Service and Excellence Awards ceremony.
Dr. Edward Brothers, professor of chemistry in the Science Program, received the Faculty Research Excellence Award. Dr. Mohamed Fadlelmula from the Petroleum Engineering Program won the Teaching Excellence Award, while Dr. Shady Khalil received Research Fellow Excellence Award.
The 2022 Richard E. Ewing Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Research went to Ph.D. candidate Ahmed Baldreldin, while Afsha Shaikh and Rand Alagha won the The 2022 Richard E. Ewing Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Student Research.
Dean César Malavé named Dr. Haitham Abu-Rub, professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program, and Dr. Tingwen Huang, math professor in the Science Program, winners of the Dean's Achievement Award, which recognizes a faculty or staff member who exemplifies outstanding performance and has made a significant contribution to the campus during the current year.
Dr. Hazem Nounou, associate dean for academic and student services, received the Dean's Leadership Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership in the management of academic or operational units within Texas A&M at Qatar.
