About 100 students participated in the IEEE Day recently held at Texas A&M at Qatar. It was jointly organized by the university’s IEEE student chapter and IEEE Honor Society, IEEE-HKN (Eta Kappa Nu), to celebrate electrical engineering and its relevance in everyday life.

The annual event's primary goal is to augment students' understanding of the advantages of IEEE and electrical engineering. It featured various activities aimed at introducing students to basic electric circuits and essential electronic components.

Additionally, teams from both the Engineering Enrichment and Entrepreneurship Program and Career Services attended the event to assist students in exploring the resources offered by TAMUQ.

Electrical engineering senior and president of the Texas A&M at Qatar student chapter of IEEE, Muhammad Bin Mughees said, “We are delighted at the turnout we had for the IEEE Day. Bringing together our community and collaborating on ideas that can leverage technology for a better tomorrow is one of our key missions. We are also grateful for the support provided by our dedicated faculty and staff, enabling student empowerment and fostering networking opportunities.”
