Class of 2024 celebrates Senior Walk
Published Apr 01, 2024Senior Aggies in the Class of 2024 celebrated the beginning of the countdown until graduation during their Senior Walk event, a symbolic walk around Education City and the Texas A&M Engineering Building.
Initiated by the Student Government Association’s Traditions Council, the Senior Walk aims to be similar to the Elephant Walk tradition at the flagship campus in College Station. Students use this time to remember their time spent in university and the friends and memories made there.
Student Government Association President Khalid Al Sada, said, “As seniors, we're nearing the end of an enriching four-year journey at Texas A&M University at Qatar. The senior walk marked a significant moment for us to reflect on our growth as students, reminiscing about the countless cherished memories we've created on campus with friends and faculty. The traditions and celebrations we've experienced here as Aggies have been truly amazing.”
Al-Sada continued, “As we prepare to enter the workforce, we eagerly anticipate applying the skills and values we've gained from our university experience. Texas A&M University at Qatar has provided us with a supportive community that has instilled in us a strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and leadership. We're confident that these values will serve as our guiding principles as we transition into professional life. Proud to be Aggies, we're excited to represent our alma mater and make our mark in the world.”
