Published Dec 02, 2024

Students from Texas A&M University’s flagship campus in College Station, Texas (USA), learned about life in Qatar during various study abroad opportunities offered by Texas A&M at Qatar, a Qatar Foundation partner university.

During their visits, students had the chance to meet with Doha-based students and faculty, immerse themselves in cultural experiences, and visit key industry sites across the country. These experiences provided valuable insights into both the academic and cultural landscape of Qatar.

Ain Binaloch, a senior in chemical engineering, shared, "I chose to come to Qatar because I've always wanted the study abroad experience, and this also aligned with my education as an engineer. My experience has been great so far! The most exciting aspect of being here is definitely the community — I love getting to know everyone here and their stories."

Griffin Ainsworth, a senior in mechanical engineering, expressed, "I chose to come to Qatar because it was the best choice for being able to study abroad while ensuring that I could take all the classes I need to graduate on time. My experience thus far has been really great. The country and the people are incredible, and it’s been a joy to be around them. The most exciting aspect of being here is probably getting to explore the sand dunes, while also being able to explore a large and bustling city within an hour of each other."

Student mobility and international exchanges are crucial for developing a broad worldview and international awareness, and Texas A&M University provides students with multiple opportunities to visit the Qatar campus.
