Dr. Dhabia Al Mohannadi’12 named to MIT Technology Review Arabia's Innovators Under 35 MENA list

Dr. Dhabia Al Mohannadi’12, adjunct professor of chemical engineering at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), has been named to MIT Technology Review Arabia’s prestigious Innovators Under 35 MENA list, a recognition of her exceptional contributions to technology and innovation in the region.

Dr. Al Mohannadi’s groundbreaking work in developing process systems modeling tools has played a significant role in advancing decarbonization and circular economy solutions. She is particularly recognized for her co-development of the innovative HyPec process, which transforms wastewater from the oil and gas industry into hydrogen. This pioneering work, carried out alongside Dr. Konstantinos Kakosimos, Dr. Mohammed Al Hashimi, and experts from the Qatar Shell Technology & Research Centre and National Chemistry Laboratory, represents a truly interdisciplinary effort aimed at addressing global energy and sustainability challenges.

Reflecting on this achievement, Dr. Al Mohannadi shared, "This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without my research team, which includes graduate and undergraduate students, researchers, as well as my supportive colleagues, collaborators, and mentors throughout the years."
