TAMUQ Senior Walk celebrates the countdown to graduation
Published Jan 20, 2025Senior Aggies in the Class of 2025 celebrated the beginning of the countdown until graduation during their Senior Walk event, a symbolic walk around Education City and the Texas A&M Engineering Building.
Initiated by the Student Government Association’s Traditions Council, the Senior Walk aims to be similar to the Elephant Walk tradition at the flagship campus in College Station. Students use this time to remember their time spent in university and the friends and memories made there.
Abdulla Babikr, President of the Student Government Association, said, “It’s been an incredible journey, from walking in as eager freshmen to preparing for graduation and entering the workforce. Our time at TAMUQ has been filled with laughter, friendships, networking, and preparation for the next chapter of our lives,” Babikr said.
He continued, “The Senior Walk was the perfect opportunity to reminisce, reflect on our growth as students, relive cherished traditions, and take a walk down memory lane.”
The Senior Walk is a cherished tradition at TAMUQ that allows students to celebrate their university journey while looking ahead to their bright futures.
