Aggie engineers excel at 2025 PETE Senior Paper Contest

Twenty undergraduate petroleum engineering students from Texas A&M University at Qatar demonstrated their research at the 2025 PETE Annual Senior Student Paper Contest, sponsored by ExxonMobil. This event serves as a platform for students to enhance their technical writing, research, and presentation skills, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of their future careers in the energy industry.

The PETE Annual Senior Student Paper Contest is more than just a competition—it is an academic and professional milestone for petroleum engineering students. Through rigorous research and technical writing, students gain practical insights into industry challenges, while refining their ability to present complex engineering concepts effectively. The competition fosters innovation, critical thinking, and professional communication, essential skills for future engineers.

The panel of judges included industry professionals and former students, and their expertise and constructive feedback played a crucial role in guiding students toward professional excellence. The Department of Petroleum Engineering expressed gratitude to the judges for dedicating their time and expertise to mentor and evaluate the students.
