Elsheikh co-edits book on motivation

Dr. Aymen Elsheikh, instructional assistant professor in the Liberal Arts Program, has recently co-edited a volume, Motivation and Classroom Management: Theory, Practice and Implications. The book addresses not only how to motivate teachers and learners but also the relationship between motivation and classroom management.

SEC hosts annual charity event for support staff

The Student Engineers' Council and volunteers from the engineering honor societies at Texas A&M at Qatar recently held their annual charity event. They helped serve food, drinks and ice cream to the support staff in the Texas A&M Engineering Building. A total of 120 cleaners, security guards and technicians attended the event.

Students visit Qatar National Library

Students were treated with a personalized tour of the facilities, including the book stacks, the study and Innovation rooms, the Conservation Lab, and the Heritage Collection. EEP hosts its 10th training cycle

More than 100 students attended the most recent Engineering Enrichment Program training cycle. In this cycle, 12 different courses — including SOLIDWORKS, LabVIEW, Python, Petrel, Autodesk Revit MEP and others — were offered. Bazzi and Barlog publish article in Nature Chemistry

Bazzi, professor of chemistry in the Science Program and associate dean for research, and postdoctoral research associate Dr. Maciej Barlog recently published an article, "DNA-imprinted polymer nanoparticles with monodispersity and prescribed DNA-strand patterns," in Nature Chemistry. AlGammal declared a winner of Challenge 22

Technical laboratory coordinator Mohammad AlGammal was recently named one of 10 winners out of nearly 1,000 entrants in the Challenge 22 competition.
