Arif wins third place at data engineering boot camp
Published May 19, 2016Senior IT Consultant Mustafa Arif won third place at Data Science Dojo's Data Science and Data Engineering Boot Camp in Chicago 2-6 May. Arif was awarded for building a predictive model to determine the survivability rate of 900 select passengers of the Titanic. Through hands-on exercises at the boot camp for 10 hours per day, Arif was exposed to a variety of technologies, including Hive, Spark, Mahout and Hadoop.
