Mechanical engineering students place in poster URC poster presentation
Published May 10, 2010As a result of a series of Mechanical Measurement course projects and with the help of Dr. Reza Tafreshi, assistant professor of mechanical engineering and Mr. Yasser Al-Hamidi, laboratory coordinator, three papers were accepted for the presentation in the second annual conference on Undergraduate Research on Applied Computing (URC2010).
The objective of this conference, held 5-6 May, was to promote undergraduate research activity by providing a forum for students to present their work and interact with other young researchers, faculty and industrial leaders. Of the three papers submitted, Dillan Raymond Roshan, Muhammad Tahir Bin Yousaf and Kuffat Khan, placed in the category for best poster presentation for their work on "Car Safety System to Prevent Accidents Due to Health Conditions That Affect Heart Rate of a Driver."
