NSF to host workshop on energy education and research

The National Science Foundation and Texas A&M at Qatar, in collaboration with the University of Central Florida, the University of Minnesota and Qatar National Research Fund, next week will host "Electrical Energy Education and Research."

The three-day workshop, to be held 14-16 Dec., will focus on the need to offer effective classroom and laboratory instruction in the field of electrical energy education. The workshop also will discuss international perspectives on energy education, detailed course offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and explore industry needs for power conversion and power system engineers. The workshop is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. in lecture hall 238 of the Texas A&M Engineering Building. For information or to RSVP contact Noha Ezzat: noha.ezzat@qatar.tamu.edu.
