Office of Academic Affairs hosts three-day faculty workshop
Published Sep 02, 2009The Office of Academic Affairs on Tuesday began a three-day faculty development workshop. Two experts from College Station are facilitators for the workshop: Dr. Jeff Froyd, director of the Division of Academic Development in the Office of the Dean of Faculties, and Dr. Dennie Smith, professor and head of the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture in the College of Education and Human Development. The workshop consists of six sessions on teaching topics such as preparing and evaluating a good lecture, conversations about technology, developing a podcast and engaging students, cultural considerations, and learning styles.
