RDP awards travel grants to Texas A&M at Qatar researchers

Three Texas A&M at Qatar researchers have been awarded travel grants to showcase their research through the Research Excellence Travel Grant Program. Imran Shafique Ansari, Sun Hee Yoon and Mostafa Shahin are this quarter’s recipients of $1,200 travel grants.

Ansari is a postdoctoral research associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program working with Dr. Khalid Qaraqe. He will present two papers at the Middle East IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in Montreal, Canada 18-21 Sept.

Yoon is a postdoctoral research associate in the Chemical Engineering Program working with Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Wahab. She will present at the International Conference on Nanotechnology, Nanomaterials and Thin Films for Energy Applications in Liverpool, England 27-29 July.

Shahin is a research associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program working with Dr. Beena Ahmed. He will present at Interspeech in San Francisco, 8-12 Sept.

The travel grants are an initiative of the Researcher Development Program that provides financial support to cover conference-related travel and expenses every quarter.
