Teaching Week 2016 continues at Texas A&M at Qatar

Texas A&M at Qatar is hosting Teaching Week 2016 this week (30 Oct. to 3 Nov.). Dr. Lynn Andrea Stein of Olin College gave the keynote address, "Crafting the Learning Experience," 30 Oct. Dr. Beena Ahmed and Dr. Konstantinos Kakosimos presented during the Innovative Teaching Methods Showcase 31 Oct. Dr. Nayef Alyafei's team of students won today's (2 Nov.) Teaching Face-off against Dr. Bing Guo's team. The students students were judged on lectures given about carbon capture and storage. Also today, the first Transformative Educational Experience grant winners held a poster session detailing their projects and findings. Teaching Week will conclude tomorrow (3 Nov.) with the second lecture of the Reflections on Teaching Series by Dr. Albertus Retnanto, associate professor of the practice in the Petroleum Engineering Program.
