Texas A&M University at Qatar hosts 26th International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM 2014)

Texas A&M at Qatar is hosting the 26th International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM 2014) 14-17 December at the Hilton Hotel in Doha.
The event, sponsored by ExxonMobil Qatar, is the premiere conference on microelectronics in the region, bringing top international researchers and experts to discuss and share the latest findings in microelectronics research.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the technical sponsor of the conference, which addresses topics such as electronic circuits and systems, CAD tools and design, and nanoelectronics. It also features special topics in algorithms and architectures for mobile and multimedia systems; circuits and systems for connected health; renewable energy sources; and architectures and systems for biometrics and forensics applications.
The three-day event features three keynote speeches by international experts, including Dr. Giovanni De Micheli (EPFL, Switzerland) who will give the talk, "Technologies and Platforms for Cyberphysical Systems"; Dr. Gabriel A. Rincon-Mora (Georgia Institute of Technology, USA), "Powering Microsystems — From Fuel Cells to Ambient Energy"; and Dr. Amine Bermak (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong SAR), "Next-generation Smart Vision Sensors for Wireless Camera Network (WCN) Applications".
ICM 2014 will also include three tutorials by field experts such as Dr. Mohamad Sawan (Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Canada) who will give the tutorial, "Brain-Machine-Brain Interfaces for Sensing and Subsequent Treatment"; Dr. Fethi Filali (Qatar Mobility Innovations Center, Qatar), "Connected (Automated) Vehicles: A (R)evolution"; and Dr. Abdulkader Bousselham (Qatar Energy efficiency Research Institute, Qatar), "Field Programmable Gate Arrays: From Sea-of-Gates to a System on Chip."
The conference’s technical program includes 33 regular papers in eight sessions covering RF circuits; device characterization and modeling; digital circuits and systems; device physics and novel structures; digital signal and data processing; and analog circuits. In addition, there are 16 special session papers and 15 posters distributed.
