Texas A&M at Qatar to offer cross-disciplinary research course
Published Nov 10, 2016Texas A&M at Qatar will offer a cross-disciplinary, special topics course, Research Methods and Experiences, in spring 2017. In the course, a student and faculty member are paired together on a research project of mutual interest in which the student's research goals are supervised by the faculty adviser. The eight students selected for the course will also meet as a group periodically to have common lectures or group discussions. Each student will produce a research proposal, a final report on the research and an oral presentation in front of a committee of faculty members. The final grade for the three-credit course, which may be credited as a technical elective, is decided by the faculty adviser. An informational session on the course will be held 16 Nov. from noon to 1 p.m. in Lecture Hall 143.
