Texas A&M professor to give talk on the math behind turbulence

Texas A&M at Qatar will host Dr. Edriss S. Titi, the Arthur Owen Professor of Mathematics at Texas A&M and professor emeritus at the University of California, Irvine, 23 Oct. from noon to 1 p.m. in Lecture Hall 238. In his talk, "Mathematics of Turbulent Flows: A Million-dollar Problem!" Titi will summarize the economic and industrial significance of controlling and identifying the onset of turbulence and its mathematical perspective.
