Texas A&M at Qatar awarded Environmental Excellence Award
Published Mar 30, 2010Texas A&M University at Qatar was awarded the 'Excellence in Environmental Technology' distinction from the Offshore Arabia 2010 Environmental Awards at a ceremony Monday in Dubai.
The award recognized the engineering university’s efforts to contribute to the sound stewardship of the region’s precious natural resources and environmental leadership in the region and the world at large through the manufacture and utilization of new, state-of-the-art technology designed to protect the environment and minimize the possible adverse impact of manufacturing, energy conversion and industrial facilities. The award was received by Texas A&M at Qatar Dean and CEO, Dr. Mark H. Weichold.
