Texas A&M at Qatar students recognized for leadership

Students were honored with the following awards:
Men’s basketball MVP: Wajih Idriss
Women’s basketball MVP: Sahar Elrefai
Student Employee of the Year: Karim Farhat
Gathwright Scholar Award: Hazem Abdelmoati, Misam Jaffer and Mariam Al-Meer
Richard E. Ewing Award for Excellence in Research: Karim Farhat, Hazem Abdelmoati (undergraduates) and Qasim M. Chaudhari, Ph.D. (graduate)
Troy Marschang Award for Leadership: Muna Gharfeh
Emerging Leader Award: Thamer Al-Kuwari
Buck Weirus Spirit Award: Mohd Mateen Bin Kamal
Student Organization Advisor of the Year: Liticia Salter
Student Organization of the Year: Anime Club
