University to host EMPC Summer ProgramPublished May 13, 2012
Texas A&M at Qatar will host the EMPC Summer Program for local high school students from 20 – 24 May.
Over 50 Qatari students are expected to participate to learn about engineering disciplines offered at Texas A&M at Qatar and work throughout the week on real-life engineering projects. Students will also meet energy and industry representatives from event sponsors Qatar Shell and Qatar Chemical Company. John Small, director of development and interim director of the Office of Student and Community Relations, said, "This program is designed to give high school students a better idea of what engineering means, both as a university degree and career, and to help them understand the admissions requirements for Texas A&M at Qatar."
