Currently, Samir is working as a Machine Shop Manager in the Mechanical Engineering Program. Samir joined Texas A&M at Qatar as a staff member with the Research and Graduate Studies program in 2012 then he moved to Mechanical Engineering Program in April 2017. He participated in many research and academic projects in producing prototypes and design for manufacturability consultation. Samir also certified by LRAQ as an Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015. And participated in implementing and auditing the Quality Management System at Texas A&M University at Qatar’s facilities.
Samir has more than 14 Years of experience in the fields of industrial engineering management, material handling equipment manufacturing, production planning, ERP systems, safety engineering, production process planning, CAD/CAM design, CNC machinery commissioning, operating and training. Prior to joining Texas A&M University at Qatar, he served 6 years in the industry business as Process Engineer and Principal Engineer.
