Undergraduate Degree Planner

All students entering Texas A&M University at Qatar after the fall 2013 semester are required to complete an annual undergraduate degree plan. Students who do not have an approved degree plan on file by the deadline stated in the Academic Calendar will have a registration hold placed on their account for future terms.

Students are required to submit the planner once they have completed, by any means, 30 SCH (Sophomore status); this includes SCH credited by A-Level, AP, or IB exams, and/or transfer coursework, whether applied to the student’s degree program or not.  This may mean that some first-semester students will need to submit the planner once they are enrolled in coursework at TAMUQ.

In order to meet this requirement, students must complete the Undergraduate Degree Planner (UGDP) tool in the Howdy portal and submit to an academic advisor for review and approval.   Upon submission to the advisor for review, the plan is “locked” and no edits can be made. If the student’s plan is incorrect or missing course requirements, it will be “unlocked” and sent back to the student for editing and resubmission.

Once the UGDP is approved by an academic advisor, the registration hold is released until the next annual submission deadline.

The UGDP submission deadline is 30 September each year.

Students should access their UGDP via the Student Profile in the Howdy Portal.
