The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) throughout the year. The FE exam is a computer-based exam with supplied reference information consisting of a morning session and an afternoon session. The examination is discipline specific. The FE exam is held at a Pearson VUE testing center. NCEES policy allows an examinee to take the FE exam once during a two-month window and no more than three times during a twelve-month period.
The following instructions are designed to help candidates complete an application for the FE exam. Attention to detail is essential to avoid processing delays and expedite the application's final review. Failure to completely and appropriately fill out the application form will cause delays and may result in being deemed ineligible to qualify for the FE exam.
As per the FE exam administration agreement between Texas A&M University and NCEES, Texas A&M University at Qatar will assist TAMUQ candidates in completing the application and prequalifying applicants.
Eligibility

Results
Results for the computer-based FE exams are typically available 7-10 business days after the examination. An email notification will be sent from NCEES with instructions to view the results in the examinee's MyNCEES account. Information is included specific to an examinee's licensing board regarding how to move forward based on performance. All results are reported as pass or fail. Examinees that fail the exam receive a diagnostic report showing performance for each of the major topics covered on the exam. The diagnostic report is provided to help identify the knowledge areas where improvement is needed before retaking the exam. The purpose of this report is to provide general information on performance; it is not designed or intended to be used for any other purpose.
