Transcripts
Due to end-of-term grade processing, transcripts will be unavailable from 8 to 14 Dec. Transcript printing will resume on 15 Dec. Texas A&M University at Qatar will be closed from 17 to 24 Dec. Regular office hours will resume on 27 Dec.
- Current students must purchase an official transcript on Howdy under the My Records tab through the Grades and Transcripts channel. See ‘Official Transcripts’ information below.
- Former students who attended Texas A & M University, must purchase an official transcript on Howdy under the Former Student tab through the Grades and Transcripts channel. See ‘Official Transcripts’ information below.
- Please follow the steps to order an official PDF transcript under the ‘Official Transcripts’ link below.
- Due to COVID safety precautions, all physical transcripts must be purchased on Howdy and picked up according to the chart below:

Checking for Holds
Students should check for transcript holds on the My Record tab in Howdy under the "My Profile" icon PRIOR TO requesting a transcript.
Official Transcripts
- Current students can purchase an official transcript on Howdy under the My Records tab through the Grades and Transcripts channel.
- Former students who attended Texas A & M University, can purchase an official transcript on Howdy under the Former Student tab through the Grades and Transcripts channel.
An official transcript is a comprehensive record of a student's academic progress at Texas A&M University. In other words, a student's official Texas A&M University transcripts includes academic credit awarded to the student at all levels of study (undergraduate and graduate).
Transcripts contain confidential information and are released only in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). Transcripts may not be disclosed without prior written consent from the student.
Information Included on an Official Texas A&M Transcript:

Students with outstanding financial obligations to the University or Qatar Foundation may be PREVENTED from receiving an official transcript. Current students may check for transcript holds on Howdy on their My Record tab. Former students may check for transcript holds on Howdy on the Former Student Tab. It is the student's responsibility to clear transcript holds.
Official PDF Transcript
Official PDF transcripts are becoming more commonly accepted across institutions, organizations, and agencies. Texas A&M University official transcripts in PDF format should be considered official documents as they can be validated through a blue ribbon certificate indicating the transcript has been digitally signed and certified by the Texas A&M University's Office of the Registrar.
Official PDF transcripts may only be ordered by students via Howdy.
Texas A&M University will provide official transcripts in certified PDF format for current and certain Former Texas A&M University students. Texas A&M University utilizes Proofpoint Encryption to deliver official PDF transcripts to email recipients via a secure message. Students are responsible for verifying the supplied email address is valid and correct. The official Texas A&M University PDF transcript is considered official in PDF format only. Requestors will receive an email confirmation when the PDF transcript request has been processed and sent to the intended recipient.
Please note: students and recipients should note that any Texas A&M University official PDF transcripts sent to them are time-sensitive. The secure message, official transcript, and any student-uploaded document(s) will only be available for download or view on our Proofpoint server for 30 days.

Unofficial Transcripts

An unofficial Texas A&M University transcript is a comprehensive advising record of a student's academic progress at Texas A&M University. In other words, a student's unofficial Texas A&M University transcripts includes academic credit awarded to the student at all levels of study (undergraduate and graduate), detailed transfer credit from other institutions awarded to the student, and curriculum of study by term information.

Current Students
May access an unofficial transcript through Howdy. Current students need to navigate to the Grades and Transcripts channel on their My Record tab to access an unofficial transcript. There is both an HTML and PDF version of the unofficial transcript available to students in Howdy.
Former Students
Former students who attended Texas A&M University, may be able to access an unofficial transcript online through Howdy. Former students will need to visit the Grades and Transcripts channel on their Former Student tab to access an unofficial transcript. There is both an HTML and PDF version of the unofficial transcript available to students in Howdy.
Special Note for Former Student Online Unofficial Transcript Access
- Former students who WERE enrolled in the past TWO YEARS
- Sign in to Howdy and click on the "Former Student" tab. You will see the option to access your unofficial transcript in the Grades and Transcripts channel. Your Howdy account is still active. You will need to log in using your NetID and password. YOU DO NOT NEED TO CREATE A SEPARATE FORMER STUDENT ACCOUNT.
- If you forget your NetID or it is expired, visit the IT Self Service Knowbase Article regarding Resetting a Forgotten NetID Password for help.
- Former students who WERE NOT enrolled in the past TWO YEARS
- Go to Howdy and click on the link to "Information about Former Student Access" box.
- You will need to select one of the three statuses from the popup window.
- If you select the middle "WAS NOT enrolled in the past TWO YEARS" status, you will need to submit an online questionnaire verifying your identification.
- After you have submitted the online questionnaire an email will be sent to you with instructions on how to set up your account.
- There is a three-hour window for you to follow the instructions or you will be required to complete the online questionnaire again.
- You must complete the questionnaire during main campus business hours (8:00am-5:00pm CST this is typically after 5:00pm Qatar time).
Students who are unable to access their unofficial transcript online (Former students who do not meet the requirements highlighted above for access to Howdy or students with a transcript hold on their account) may request an unofficial transcript by visiting the Office of Records, Engineering Building first floor.
There is no charge for an unofficial transcript. Records staff will only release an unofficial transcript to the student via in-person collection.
The Office of Records WILL NOT email an unofficial transcript.

Transcript Ordering and Fees
Transcript Payment Options
Ordered and picked up in-person — Students must pay for their in-person official transcripts requested by credit card on Howdy. All payments must be made in U.S. Dollars. Transcripts will not be printed until payment is processed successfully.
Our office is unable to accept cash payments for official transcript fees.
For in-person pick up at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), students should choose ‘Pickup @ TAMU Qatar’ in the ‘Delivery Method’ section of the online order.
Ordered online in Howdy (PDF transcripts) — Students may pay for their official PDF transcripts requested online with an ACH electronic check or credit card (MasterCard and Visa). All payments must be made in U.S. Dollars. PDF transcripts will not be sent until payment is processed successfully.
Number of Transcripts per online order
- The default number of transcripts designated for online transcript orders is 1.
- Students may purchase up to 20 official paper or EDI transcripts be sent to an authorized recipient in a single transcript online request. Students who need to order more than 20 transcripts be printed or be sent to a single recipient will need to submit separate orders for any additional transcripts required beyond the limit of 20 per transaction.
Transcript Request Processing Option
In the ‘Print Transcript’ field, students will choose 1 of 3 options to indicate when the transcript should be processed
- As soon as possible: Students who wish for their transcript to be processed in our weekly batch processes, will need to select this option.
- Hold for grades: Students who wish to request that the transcript processing be delayed until final grading has been completed for the current semester, should select ‘Hold for grades.'
- Hold for degree: Students who wish to request that the transcript processing be delayed until degrees have been posted for the current semester, should select ‘Hold for degree.’

Receiving & Validating a Texas A&M University Official PDF eTranscript
Texas A&M University official transcripts in PDF format should be considered official documents as they can be validated through a blue ribbon certificate indicating the transcript has been digitally signed and certified by Texas A&M University's Office of the Registrar. Texas A&M University will provide official transcripts in certified PDF format for current and certain former Texas A&M University students.
