Our athletics program consists of five sports competing against other Education City schools as well as schools within Qatar:

• Men’s and Women’s Soccer

• Men’s and Women’s Basketball

• Men’s Cricket

During the fall semester of each academic year, teams will host try-outs for the different teams. As with any athletic program, not every athlete will make a University team. However, there are other opportunities to get involved. Students can serve as team manager, stats keeps, photographer and most importantly, the 12th Man. Aggie fans are a great source of encouragement for University athletes simply by coming out to show support of the men’s and women’s teams.

The Spring Leadership Exchange Program is an intercultural and leadership development exchange program between TAMUQ and TAMU College Station, which takes place during Spring Break each year. The purpose of this exchange is to allow Texas A&M University students from both campuses to share diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences with one another while learning together about leadership in a global society. Students travel to both campuses to engage in leadership workshops, cultural events, campus tours, selfless service experiences, and networking opportunities with other Aggies.

Selfless service, high impact learning, and outside the classroom practice-based approaches are the driving force behind the Aggie Service-Learning Experience. The purpose of this experience is for TAMUQ students to share diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences with their fellow Aggies, while learning about selfless service and developing a broader connection to the world at large and their role in it. The experience includes cultural events, service-learning experiences, and team building based outdoor adventure opportunities.

Students at Texas A&M at Qatar have the opportunity to spend a semester at our main campus in College Station, TX. Likewise, students from College Station can study for one semester at our Qatar campus. For more info on the study abroad opportunities, click here.

This collaborative program is between the College Station and Qatar campuses, is designed to prepare incoming freshmen to maximize the educational opportunities at Texas A&M University and Texas A&M University Qatar. This program develops a greater appreciation for cross-cultural experiences, intercultural communication and understanding, and growth across peers. The seminar will also prepare students for life at TAMUQ, including student organizations, opportunities for involvement, what to expect when starting university in the Texas A&M system, and more.

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are students that serve as role models to help new students adjust to the rigors of being a college student as part of Aggie Life 101: New Student. Aside from guiding new students as they begin their studies at TAMUQ, OLs are also responsible for providing the historical background of TAMUQ through campus tours, answering University-related questions, and implementing unique ideas for orientation. OLs are expected to possess excellent communication skills, while upholding our core values of Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect and Selfless Service.

SGA activities reflect the principles in achieving a united environment, which encourage leadership qualities, organizational skills, and responsibility in the student body. Student Government Association in TAMUQ consists of very fine active members that meet on a regular basis to look after the students' needs and help them solve problems.
