Student Conduct and Rules

All enrolled students are expected to follow Texas A&M University rules on student conduct. These rules may be found at TAMU Student Rules, Part II: Student Life Rules.

The Department of Student Affairs is responsible for student conduct proceedings when it is alleged the student has committed a violation of the Texas A&M rules. In order to report a violation, students, faculty and staff may complete a Campus Community Incident Report. Reports can be submitted anonymously.

Send questions to dsa@qatar.tamu.edu.

STUDENT COMPLAINTS

Filing Complaints with TAMU

In most cases, the complaint procedures requires the student to exhaust all complaint avenues internal to the institution before a complaint can be filed at the state or accrediting agency level. Students are advised to first attempt to resolve complaints through appropriate channels within Texas A&M University at Qatar. Texas A&M University Student Rules are written to provide all students, including those enrolled at branch campuses, with instructions and contact information for each administrative unit through which to register a complaint or grievance.

Student rules 45 through 62 outline grievance processes and procedures including the Texas A&M University offices responsible for assisting students with matters related to civil rights violations (including discrimination, disabilities, sexual harassment, etc.), academic matters (including grades, unexcused absences, suspensions, and blocks), student conduct and disciplinary matters, financial assessments, and parking citations.
