Collaboration

As the leader in the Education City multiversity cooperation, the Texas A&M at Qatar's Women’s Faculty Forum regularly collaborates with faculty and staff from other universities in the QF community, including the Georgetown Women’s Alliance. We have held networking lunches with faculty from GU-Q, NU-Q, VCUarts Qatar, CMU-Q, and Sidra Medicine to allow women to partner on projects and research. The WFF has also held professional development panels on topics especially relevant to female faculty, staff and students.

Women’s’ Faculty Forum and the Women in Leadership Conference

The Women’s Faculty Forum greatly contributed to the Women in Leadership conference, a three-day event (17-19 Sept. 2022) hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in collaboration with Texas A&M University at Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa University, Georgetown University in Qatar, HEC Paris in Qatar, and Qatar Financial Center. The event focused on important issues for women in leadership including male allyship, equipping women for leadership roles, and support for a healthy work/life balance. The WFF organized a panel session on leaders in STEM/STEAM, moderated by Dr. Naqaa Abbas and Dr. Dhabia Al-Mohannadi, in which panel speakers from various disciplines and positions spoke about the gender challenges in the workplace both in academia and in industry.

Collaborate with us

While the work the WFF does is internally focused on supporting our female faculty, students and teaching staff, we often provide programming that is open to the public. If you would like to collaborate with us (on events, workshops, discussions and talks, or anything else) please contact us at wff@qatar.tamu.edu.
