Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day
On 22 June 2023, WFF celebrated our female faculty accomplishments in research, teaching and service on the occasion of International Women in Engineering Day, a day, which provides a clear call to women to shape the world. Taking place annually on 23 June, INWED is an international awareness campaign celebrating the work and achievements of women engineers. The day provides an important opportunity to raise the profile of women engineers and highlight the amazing career opportunities available. Engineering shapes the world and helps make our planet a better, safer, more innovative and exciting place to be.
Annual Members Retreat
A special day to come together as a group to celebrate the end of the academic year, to socialize, and to plan events and activities for the following year.
The Women's Faculty Forum hosted female faculty from across Education City for a luncheon and conversation celebrating International Women's Day 2021.
Women Leadership in Education City
The Women in Leadership webinar brought together female deans from university campuses around Education City for the first time to discuss their experiences and issues faced by female leaders in academia. The four invited speakers were: Anne Nebel (GU-Q), Rosalie Nickles (TAMUQ), Selma Limam Mansar (CMU-Q), and Annette Vincent (CMU-Q).

Recruiting and Retaining Female Faculty
Women Faculty Forum hosted an online webinar on recruiting and retaining female faculty. Four panelists shared their experience on the role the gender has played in their hiring and promotion, as well as, suggested effective ways in which different institutions and programs could retain diverse female faculty.
