Dr. Nimir Elbashir, associate professor of chemical engineering, was recently honored for Best Energy and Environment Research Program of the Year at the Joint Qatar Foundation Annual Research Forum and Arab Expatriates Scientists Network Symposium. The award was based on Elbashir’s work on multi-scale multi-scale investigations leading to the design of a novel Fischer-Tropsch reactor for gas-to-liquid processes.
