College Station and Doha Campuses Collaborate on LNG Research
Engineering Tomorrow
In 2003, Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, opened a branch campus in the Middle Eastern country of Qatar.  The campus is part of Education City, a consortium of educational and research institutions hosted by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.  Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) offers four undergraduate engineering programs at the Education City campus: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering.

In 2007, the 55,000 square meter (595,000 sq ft) Texas A&M Engineering Building in Education City was completed. TAMUQ will establish a research program and offer graduate engineering programs. In addition to the world-renowned academic program, TAMUQ has established itself as a partner in research and development with local industry and universities.


Texas A&M at Qatar and A&M Club Aggie Muster

Texas A&M at Qatar held its 5th annual Aggie Muster. Muster is a time to remember the Aggies who passed away during the previous year. 100 students, faculty and staff, and former students from the A&M Aggie club attended the event.


Dr.Elsa Murano visits Texas A&M University at Qatar

Dr. Elsa Murano, president of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, made her first visit to Texas A&M University at Qatar in Doha, Qatar. While on the Doha campus, Dr. Murano met with TAMUQ students including May 2008 graduates, Student Body Government and other undergraduates.


A&M Club donates to support student scholarships

With proceeds collected at their 10th Annual Boot Scoot, the Qatar A&M Club presented President Elsa Murano and Dean Mark Weichold with a donation of 15,000QR ($4,100) to support student scholarships. The Qatar A&M Club is a charted club of Texas A&M's alumni association serving Aggies living in the State of Qatar.
