The Liberal Arts Program will show the film Tokyo Story by Yasujiro Ozu in the Hamad Bin Khalifa University Student Center Cinema on 5 Nov.

The film, part of the Program’s Great Film Series, traces an elderly couple’s journey from their rural home to Tokyo in post World War II Japan to visit their grown children. The movie’s themes include generational conflict, the inevitability of change and the disappointments of life.
