General building access for Texas A&M at Qatar
The Texas A&M Engineering Building is open every day from 7 a.m. to midnight.
Anyone entering the building must:
- Present TAMUQ ID at the security access point or
- Be accompanied by a TAMUQ host per the visitor request process.
Any TAMUQ student or employee without their TAMUQ ID must sign in and await approval from on-site security. This courtesy will only be granted two times a semester.
Students
Students may access the Texas A&M Engineering Building during the open hours Sunday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to midnight.
Faculty, staff and researchers
In addition to the above-listed entry requirements, faculty and staff may be in the building 24/7.
Campus visitors
Faculty, staff and students may host visitors in the TAMUQ Engineering Building. Visitors to the campus shall be requested through the visitor access request system here. The host may opt to have the visitor without completing the visitor access request system; however, this will require the host to sign in the guest with the security upon arrival. Hosts are responsible for the actions of their visitors and may face discipline for visitors’ failure to comply. The host is accountable and must be aware of the visitors' movements and avoid unnecessary roaming within the building. All visitors MUST meet the entry requirements stated above. In the event of visitors not complying with the campus visitor requirements, they will be asked to leave the facility.
As a reminder, guests are only allowed to remain on campus until 10 p.m.
Smoke-free campus
All visitors to the Texas A&M Engineering Building must note that we are a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. Smoking or the use of tobacco is prohibited in all Texas A&M University buildings, structures, sidewalks, parking lots and walkways.
Campus Tour
Every attempt is made to honor the requested tour time. If we are unable to grant your request, you will be contacted to find a suitable alternative. During class times, some areas of the campus may not be accessible. Tours are offered from Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and extend from 30 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the party size. The branch campus is closed during public holidays.
